All students in grades 3-8 are encouraged to write a story (fiction or nonfiction) incorporating CA agriculture and apply.

Our Imagine this…Story Writing Contest is now accepting submissions online! Submission Deadline: November 1, 2022.

Here are three ways to get students Grades 3-8 excited to submit a story:

  1. Watch this NEW! (less than 2-minute) video on the magic of becoming a published author.

2. Winning Students Receive:

  • Opportunity to be a published author!
  • Their name in lights on the State Assembly floor and a tour of the capitol!
  • An e-reader!
  • All-expense paid trip to the state capitol for the Imagine this… Ceremony. Parents and teacher included!
